The Probus Club of Frinton, Walton and District

is located in North Essex. The Clubs objective is to promote social contact and fellowship amongst its members at its regular monthly meetings and on other occasions.

Membership is open to professionals and businessmen who have fully retired, are near retirement or are partially retired from their normal profession or business.

The turn-out for our March meeting was very good with a full room of members.

The meeting speaker was Paul Constantine who gave a talk about

"The Anglo-Saxon Ship", supported by many pictures and some artefacts found during the dig, or, recreated from originals.

Events on the Social Calendar were highlighted, with emphasis being put on the need to book soon for theThursford trip in November, and, mention of the upcoming Snooker competition in March.

The monthly Coffee morning has been stopped for the time being as support was dwindling, but this will be reviewed in the future.

Finally,

The talk at our next meeting is by one of our members, Ian Johnson, and titled "my life in the City of london".  Sounds interesting!!

The following details apply to our normal activities 

Meetings of our Club are on the first Tuesday of each month, start at 10.45am and include a speaker followed by lunch.

We meet at The Frinton Golf Club, 1 Esplanade, Frinton-on-Sea, CO13 9EP

We arrange a number of other activities throughout the year, including snooker and golf.

We arrange at least one holiday break a year for members and their partners, and, social events such as a Summer Ball.

We are pleased to welcome guests or visiting Probus members to our lunches, by prior arrangement.
